Experienced, committed, energetic, dedicated—these are the words that describe teachers who lead our programs. Coming from all parts of the country and even abroad, our teachers bring unique experiences and perspectives, and all share a common passion for helping students discover their path to success through the People to People Ambassador Programs journeys.    

How do we select our program leaders?

Leading educational travel programs for students of any age is a big responsibility. To ensure an engaging and safe experience, all applicants go through a rigorous screening and training process to become a teacher leader. Each candidate must:

• Submit an online application
• Complete an interview
• Provide 3 letters of recommendation
• Pass a background check
• Obtain CPR certification
• Complete online training and tests
• Take part in a live webinar training and onsite orientation

Of the thousands of applicants each year, we select the best—teachers who are positive, active, and passionate educators and who truly enjoy helping students achieve their full potential.

In addition to Leadership Ambassador Leaders, our highly-experienced onsite program staff assists with all program logistics and ensures that our students and leaders have an engaging and safe educational experience.
