It was comforting to have someone I could contact during my daughter's time away from home.

You may be wondering how we keep students safe while they are thousands of miles away? 50 years of international travel experience, a worldwide network of trained professionals and preparation, preparation, preparation. We've spent 50 years developing ways to prepare and support students as they explore the globe. From GPS-enabled cell phones to student and parent pre-travel preparation, the safety of each leader and student is our top priority.
While traveling internationally, students are supported by a worldwide network of compassionate and committed individuals, both “in country” and back in the United States:
These qualified individuals not only help educate students about amazing sights and cultures but are also carefully trained to supervise students internationally and respond to every situation. From a simple request to have a student to call home to more serious situations that sometimes arise during travel, our leaders are trained for any issue that may arise. Learn more about our trained leaders.
These “in country” guides travel with each Student Ambassador program and are your language and destination experts. Each delegation manager completes specific annual training on the unique nature of our People to People Ambassador programs.
Our “In country” partners, they assist the People to People Ambassador Programs office in locating the most engaging activities and ensure every site meets our standards for safety prior to travel.
Located at our Program office in Spokane, the travel services team helps to plan each Student Ambassador Program. Prior to travel, this team reviews each programs accommodations, meals, and activities to ensure a premier experience. During travel, this team assists with tracking flights and responding to any “in country” issues if they arise.
In the rare case of a medical incident, our on call team has access to medical professional who communicate directly with physicians around the world. These multilingual medical specialists will assist in translating doctors’ orders and answering parents questions directly.
Every precaution is taken to ensure a safe international travel experience for our Student Ambassadors. However, in the unlikely event of an emergency, a predetermined team of highly trained individuals is on call to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
During travel our delegation support specialists are available 24 hours a day to assist our traveling students and their loved ones back at home.
