Our program leaders look forward to summer all year long. They know that on their Student Ambassador programs they'll get to expand the minds of a whole new group of students—with the world as their classroom. Creating successful educational travel for students is about more than just where you go and what you learn—it's also about who takes you there.

How do we qualify our People to People Student Ambassador Program Leaders?

Leading educational travel for students of any age is a big responsibility. To ensure an engaging and safe international travel experience, we thoroughly screen every leader applicant. In order to be considered, each leader applicant must:

• Pass a background check
• Be personally interviewed by our staff
• Complete CPR certification
• Pass our travel-safety training with a score of 100%
• Have classroom teaching experience

We receive thousands of new applications each year and select the best and the brightest. Our programs deliver unique educational travel for students—and they couldn’t do it without our extraordinary leaders.

Did you know our Student Ambassador leaders are volunteers? That's right: They are not compensated for their time or for the number of Ambassadors on their trip. They do what they do because they love watching students come alive to the possibilities of the world.
