What's Included

The tuition for our international programs ranges from $4,500-7,999, depending on length, destination, and itinerary.

While you may find other education travel providers that claim lower tuition costs than ours, you won't find another that provides the same value. Other providers may have extra activity costs, transportation charges, or other fees; we strive for complete cost transparency and a unique set of experiences that no one else can offer:

PRE-TRAVEL

An educational experience that begins long before the student travels, with an application and interview process, as well as 4-5 months of preparation that include 12 hours of classroom time and access to a complete set of online prep tools

TRAVEL

All transportation costs – international airfare, rail, ship, and motor coach as needed

All accommodations – including some very unique accommodations like a castle in Wales, a minshuku in Japan, an aquarium in Australia,
and more

MEALS

All meals, with an emphasis on authentic international cuisine. Every meal plan has been overseen by our registered dietitian and
exercise physiologist

ACTIVITIES

All activities, which include such unique experiences as rappelling from a castle wall, riding an elephant, and exclusive access to places like the British Parliament, private islands in Fiji, or backstage at the Sydney Opera House

SAFETY

An industry-leading safety program that includes a 1/10 leader/student ratio, a 24-hour onsite delegation manager, and a 24-hour emergency response team

ACADEMIC CREDIT

High school semester credit through Washington School of World Studies or college credit through Eastern Washington University

Payment Options

You don't need to pay your full tuition up front—we offer multiple payment options to make it easier for every eligible student to participate.

Our "Deposit Plus Monthly Plan" option requires a $400 deposit, then divides your payments into monthly automatic debit/credit payments up to the month of travel.

Our "Deposit Plus Payment Schedule" option requires a $400 deposit, followed by monthly statements that reflect a payment schedule based on the number of days prior to travel. You can make monthly payments by check, debit, or credit card.

To find out more about our flexible payment options, give us a call at 1.800.669.7882.

$1 Million Promise – Tuition Credits and Scholarships

Each year, People to People provides more than $1 million in tuition credits and scholarships to give more students a chance to experience our unique programs. We keep enrolled families up to date on new funding opportunities throughout the year; you can always see the current opportunities on our scholarships page.

Earning Tuition

A majority of our delegates earn a portion of their tuition themselves, and some raise 100% of the cost year after year. How do they do it? We work directly with enrolled students to share the most effective ways to fund trips. In fact we have a website dedicated to this purpose at p2pPayYourWay.com.

In addition to proven fundraising tips, the site provides a 10-part recorded webinar series on earning tuition with tried-and-true methods. We're continuously updating the site with new webinars, tuition credit opportunities, and tips.

Value

Because we offer immersive educational travel, not tours, the value of our programs extends well beyond the two to three weeks that students spend abroad.

The academic benefits are well-established: 80% of our alumni reporting admission into their college of first choice, and our programs are shown to increase Cultural Intelligence (CQ) as much as a full semester of study abroad from an Ivy League school.

A two- to three-week Student Ambassador educational trip increases CQ as much as a full semester of study abroad from an Ivy League school.

But just as importantly, our alumni and their parents consistently describe the experience as transformational and well worth the cost, and they cite the process of earning money for the program as part of what makes it worthwhile. That conviction is reflected in our Net Promoter Score 65.1, which places us among the ranks of highly respected brands like Nordstrom, Apple, and Virgin Airlines.

My experience with People to People was incredible! They are willing to work with individuals on the payment schedule for your child's trip, and they were available to answer questions any time of the day or night. I knew that my child would be safe while traveling abroad and that peace of mind is priceless!"

My son had an amazing time traveling to Europe. This was such a positive experience for him that he will carry with him for the rest of his life. While the trips are expensive, it is well worth the money, as P2P programs provide invaluable experiences that he may not have been able to experience otherwise."

—Gloria B.

My daughter traveled this summer to Australia and I can tell you that when she left she was an unhappy child who believed she would not have an amazing time. Well, I am happy to tell you she came home a very happy child. She had an amazing time! She came home with a new outlook on life. She came home with the knowledge that it is ok to be herself. She came home more mature, loving & came home with patience. She grew on that trip & her leader was just as amazing. He kept us informed the whole trip and with everything that she did while she was there, IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY!!!! Thank you P2P for my daughter's growth."
